Errol Blackwood

Born in the Accompong (Maroon) Hills of Jamaica, Errol Blackwood moved to Toronto, Canada, at an early age where he learned to play the Bass Guitar. He played with several bands in Ontario doing a mixture of RNB, Rock and Funk.

Errol's love for music comes from a variety of sources, from the church of his father who was a pastor, the Nyahbingi Drummers, the School music drama concert and the Jukebox playing from Country to Rhythm n Blues.

Accomplishments

Errol began his solo career with the release of his four songs EP. Since 1990, he has been nominated in fifteen music awards, and won eleven, including award for Much Music Best Video, CRMA BEST CD, Best Toronto Live Band and Best Singer.

1987: EP titled "Chant, Chant" and a video titled "Special Effect."

1988: Cover song Single release and video: "Give Peace a Chance.

1990: Errol's first-full-length album titled Warrior.

1993 Video released Irie Dread from Warrior Album.

1994: followed by second CD titled "Waking up the Dream."

1994 Video released: Arrested from Waking up The Dream CD.

2000: A collection of his songs, titled Roots and Lovers Collection.

2003: Full-length CD is titled: "Rastaman Say".

2006: wrote and performed the theme song, entitled Paradise, for a series called Paridise Island by Visual kings an, Austrian film company.

2007: FULL CD Titled: Familytree CD.

2011: Love Is How.

2011: His song Valley of Life sound track, from Familytree, featured in Rasta A Soul's Journey Documentary.

2012: performed at Massy Hall for Canadian Fashion Week.
